
The Ladycat Volleyball season began on Thursday with a benefit game against Van Buren in Jim Rackley Gymnasium.
The first regular season game is Monday in JRG.

Polk County Farm Bureau and Farm Bureau Women's Committee generously donated a gift card to get much needed supplies for our students at Holly Harshman Elementary!!

Mena Middle School received a donation for student needs from the Farm Bureau Women's Committee on Wednesday. Pictured is Principal Teresa Warner, Amanda Epperson and Assistant Principal Levi Norris.


The new cell phone lockers have arrived at Mena High School and Mena Middle School. Installation is expected to take several days. MHS Assistant Principal Celeste Ashcraft says, "Students are adjusting to the cell free zone. They are excited for learning, seem more alert, focused and more positive."


The Mena girls golf team won their first match of the season and the Mena boys golf team won their 4th match of the year at the Ozark Golf Club on Monday. Richie Davis and Chandler Dover were low medalist.

The Mena High School Back to School Boot Scoot was held this past Friday. The event was hosted by the MHS Student Council .


The Ladycat Volleyball team motto is Building for Success every day. Today's Ladycat, who showed energy, hard work, and being a good teammate, was Pascha Wistrand. Pascha gets the honor of wearing the hard hat for the day. She will write her favorite quote or words of encouragement on the hat.

The Mena Bearcats won and the Ladycats finished 2nd in the match. at Desoto Golf Club.. Marcus Graves and Richie Davis tied for low medalist. The teams are back in action on Monday at the Ozark Golf Club.

The Junior Ladycat Volleyball team members volunteered on Friday at the Green House Cottages for their Olympics!


The Mena Ladycats competed very well at two volleyball team camps this week. Monday, the Ladycats were at Greenwood.
The Ladycats beat Charleston, Lavaca, and Mansfield 2 sets to 0.
Splitting sets with Russellville and Farmington.
Friday, the Ladycats competed at Lakeside. Defeating Mt St Mary's, Bauxite, and Pulaski Academy 2 sets to 0. Splitting sets with Little Rock Christian and losing both sets against Cabot.
The Ladycat JV team showed tremendous improvement this summer ending today with wins over Pulaski Academy, Mt St Mary's, and Pulaski Academy.


The Bearcat Free Youth Football Camp on Thursday was well attended.

The Mena Boys won by two strokes at the Waldron Country Club.Teams from Waldron, Mansfield, Booneville, Charleston, and Dardanelle participated.. The Mena Girls also had a good day finishing third.
