The Little Ladycats Camp got underway on Wednesday at the Union Bank Center. It was a great first day with 60 campers.
We will welcome any new campers Thursday, $30.
The Junior Ladycat’s competed in Spring Queen where they were tested in vertical, mile, 400, 100, squat, bench, power clean and push press. Several girls met the challenge. Including Elliott Dugan, Ava Fields, Emmi Hensley, Chloe Stepp, Kylene Denton, Alayna Gilbert, Pascha Wistrand, Kate Wilson, Anabelle Peters, Jayden Cox, Chloe Hooper.
Kylene Denton was crowned our Spring Queen.
The Senior High Bearcats started spring ball yesterday! Good effort and energy with a lot to work on! Great job Bearcats!
The Bearcat Football Alumni Cookout is this Saturday at 5:30pm. The Scrimmage will start at 6:30pm.
Those attending need to park near the new field house. We will be serving hot dogs, chips & deserts,
A few “Nostalgia” tables will be set up with memorabilia & there will be drawings for giveaways.

Former Bearcat Zane Sherrer spoke to the Mena football team on Friday! Zane was a starter on the 2014 State Runner Up team. He gave a great message!
Members of the Mena Bearcat football team participated in the state Weight Meet hosted in Lake Hamilton . The participants were lifting by weight class with the two lifts being Bench and Power Clean. Overall the Mena Bearcat team finished near the top of 4A with many personal records set

Mena Ladycat softball will play their first game in the 4A South Regional on Thursday at 10:00am against Hamburg in Malvern.
The Mena boys and girls soccer games at Hope have been moved from Tuesday to Thursday to avoid conflict with State Track.
Mena Ladycat seniors Carleigh Smart & Libby Sharp were honored prior to the final home softball game on Friday.

The Freshmen Bearcats took a hard road to the Powderbuff Championship on Wednesday at the Union Bank Center. They defeated the Junior Bearcats in the first round & them beat the Seniors 2-1 in the match. See the winning point and the celebration in the video below.
Mena High School senior AUSTIN ROSE signed his letter of intent with East Texas Baptist University in Marshall TX. on Wednesday. He is the son of Pete & Leilani Rose. The Tigers won the MLF National Championship this year and Austin will be a part of the team next year.
