Mena Cross Country competed in the Buck Fever Showcase on Tuesday. The Sr. Ladycats were led by Jasmine Parker with her 4th place finish. Mena Golf competed in the 4A District Tournament at Eagle Crest Golf Club on Monday. The Ladycats finished 5th and the Bearcats finished 2nd. Richie Davis was the Medalist for the day with a 67. Ft. Lake was the winner of the tournament 11 strokes ahead of the Bearcats.
The boys 4A State Golf Match will be October 8th at the Desoto Golf Course in Hot Springs Village.
Parking lot improvements are underway at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium. At the August School Board Meeting Dr. Smith asked the board to approve the resurfacing with gravel at a cost not to exceed $35,000.00.

The Mena basketball and football teams participated in the 9/11 Stair Climb at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium on Wednesday. The event honors and remembers the victims and heroes who died in the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001

Staff Sargent Davis was at Mena High School on Monday to welcome Senior Carter Cossey to the Arkansas Army National Guard. Carter will enter service as a CBRN Specialist . He will ship out for basic training on May 28th, 2025 and he plans to participate in ROTC in college.

Mena tennis won eight of their nine matches on Tuesday against Acorn. Kili Cox, Madi Fowler, and Rylie Bentley won their singles matches while Reese Montgomery/Abi Comeaux and Paeyton Hostetler/Mollee Sharp prevailed in doubles. On the boys side, Levi Neufeld and Cooper Plunkett won in singles while the combo of Hunter Cannon/Levi Neufeld prevailed in doubles.
