The Jr Ladycats beat Paris in 2-1 Tuesday 25-18, 14-25, 15-13.. The Sr Ladycats lost to Paris 3 games to 0, 23-25, 23-25 & 25-17.. The Mena Jr. High will play at Greenwood on Thursday.. The Sr. High will prepare for the Ladycat Classic September 7th. GO LADYCATS!
Mena Public Schools will be closed for the Labor Day Holiday on Monday, September 2nd... Classes will resume on all campuses on Tuesday, September 3rd at the regular time... We hope our students, staff & patrons have a chance to enjoy the three day break! GO BEARCATS!

Anyone interested in submitting artwork into the fair can submit their art at the fairgrounds today from 1 to 7 pm. If you need help submitting it, you are welcome to bring it to the art room for Ms. Hoyle to drop off for you.
Sci-Fi Club Meeting on Wednesday during Enrichment in the PAC. This meeting is open to all students who are interested in joining Sci-Fi Club, dues are not necessary for this meeting.
Students: FYI, we have been instructed by the Mena Public Schools Security Team that we have to question everyone coming in to our building. So please be patient and wait for us to talk to you before you will be allowed to enter.

The Mena Jr. Ladycats faced Fort Smith Ramsey at the Union Bank Center Monday night.. The Jr. JV lost 2 games to 1.. 25-13, 20-25 & 8-15.. The Jr. High Won their match 2 games to 0.. 25-17 & 2520. The Jr & Sr, High will play at Paris Tuesday at 4pm.. GO LADYCATS!!!

We will be taking Fall Pictures today for Junior High Volleyball, Junior High Cheer, MMS Band, Golf, Tennis, Cross Country, 7th grade football, 7th grade volleyball, and 7th grade cheer. Tennis pictures will be during 2nd period in front of the high school, and Junior High Cheer pictures will be during Enrichment at the MMS gym.
Students: Just a reminder about the red recycle bins around campus are for cans or plastic bottles only, please do not put trash or any paper in those bins.

The Mena Basscats will have the annual meeting to start the new tournament season Thursday(29th) at 6:30pm in the Mena Middle School Library. Parents of students that would like to join need to attend this meeting. If you have any questions contact Coach Rose at 234-0771.

Students wanting to have their names placed on a ballot for Student Council must pick up paperwork from Mrs. Gordon in room 300 and return it with a parent signature TODAY.

The Mena Golf Team finished 2nd behind Fountain Lake at Hot Springs on Thursday. Bearcat Austin Johnston was once again the medalist shooting a 39... Mena will return to action on Monday, August 26th in Nashville at 3:30pm.. GO BEARCATS!
The Mena Ladycats played a benefit game at Van Buren Thursday night. The Varsity lost 2-1 & the Jv split 1-1. Mena opens the season on August 27th at Paris. Go Ladycats!
The Mena Cross country program is growing & preparations are in full swing for the first meet on September 10th at the Mena Lions Club Bucks Invitational!
Pool Party this Saturday, August 24, at McMillan Park pool 8-10 PM. Choir members only!!!! Bring some snacks if you can!!!
