A seventh inning rally by the Bearcats came up short in a 4-6 loss at DeQueen on Tuesday. Blake Brown & Riley Gilbert each threw three innings for Mena. Luke Montgomery & Sam Efird led Mena at the plate with two hits each. The Bearcats will play Mt. Ida at 5:00pm Thursday at Union Bank Park.

Mena High School Student Council President SAM EFIRD dropped off StuCrew’s donation at Fresh Start Pregnancy Resource Center yesterday! StuCrew decided to keep all fundraisers in our local community this year and we are excited to give back to Polk County!

On Monday and Tuesday, April 5th & 6th, the ninth and tenth grade students at Mena High School will be taking ACT Aspire. If students are here for both days of testing, Wednesday will be a virtual day for those testers.

9th and 10th grade, The ACT Aspire test is April 5&6. It is very important that your equipment is in working order. If your screen is broken or leaking, it will need to be replaced. Please check your keyboard and your mouse function and see that they are in proper working order or not missing any keys. You will need to charge your chromebook the night before you test. Please do not bring your chromebook to school and expect to be able to sit near an outlet so that you can charge your chromebook while you are taking the Aspire tests.
The Spring Gala will be held at CMA Iron Mountain on Saturday, April 24th beginning at 6pm. Tickets are available for purchase from Ms.Hughes. Senior tickets are $15 and Junior tickets are $30. Please purchase tickets ASAP so we can get menu counts.

The Mena High School Cheer Clinic has been happening this week in the Union Bank Center. Cheer candidates, under the direction of Coach Andrea Hughes, have been working & learning after school all week.

Penny Plunge Challenge is ON!!! Enrichment Class -- remember to bring your coins and donations for Special Olympics Polar Plunge each day and turn in to your Enrichment teacher. The winning class will get a donut or muffin and coffee party during Enrichment on Friday, March 19. For more information see Mrs. Tompkins.
