Announcements for Wednesday, February 5th
REMINDERS:
Parent / Teacher Conferences will take place this evening, 3:30 – 6:30 pm in the MMS Cafeteria. Mid-term progress reports will be handed out.
MMS Dance next Tuesday evening.
Cheerleader sign-up deadline is Friday. This is for current 7th & 8th graders only. Sign up for next year’s 7th graders will be later.
Valentines Crush sales begin tomorrow during both lunches.
There will be no school on Friday, February 14, and Monday, February 17.
This Friday will be the last home basketball games for the High School Lady Cats and Bearcats. It will also be Senior night. Recognition of Seniors will begin at 5:30, followed by the two varsity games against Bauxite.
Lunchtime Weather: We will remain indoors during lunch today. You are allowed to use your phone / device once you leave the Cafeteria.

There will be a JAG Group photo tomorrow during Enrichment for the yearbook. There will also be a Student Council group photo at 11:00 tomorrow for the yearbook.
Seniors, be sure to vote for Who’s Who by this Friday. The ballot is available on the Class of 2020 Enrichment Google Classroom page. Results will be collected Friday afternoon, with results being in the 2020 MHS Yearbook.

Special Olympic Polar Plunge is scheduled for February 13 at 11:30 in the Student Parking Lot. Stop by Room 214 and pick up your Plunge Form and get more information on how to be involved...Rumor has it that Coach Wright and Coach Lyle will plunge if their girls can raise $1000.00….Let’s help the girls make this possible!!!!
The tryout signup sheets for the 2020-2021 Cheerleading Team and Competition Team, and Mascot are in the office. Please see Coach Hughes in room 315 for any questions about tryouts or cheer. There will be a MANDATORY parent meeting on February 26th for ALL candidates.
Students interested in creating: Holograms, Game Design, Photography, Videography, Virtual Realty, Robotics, Solar Powered Cars, etc.,please contact Mrs. Lunsford through email.

Announcements for Tuesday, February 4th
I. Parent / Teacher Conferences will take place tomorrow evening, 3:30 – 6:30 pm in the

II. The next MMS dance will take place one week from today, February 11 th , in the MMS
Cafeteria.
III. A four-day weekend is just around the corner – there will be no school on Friday, February
14 (Valentine’s Day) and Monday, February 17 th (Presidents Day).
IV. Please check the lost-and-found box for your missing items. Once again, it is overflowing
with coats, hoodies, shoes, lunch boxes, etc.
V. From Mrs. Breedlove: This Friday is the deadline to sign up for Cheerleader tryouts. Also,
The Valentines Crush Fundraiser is coming up. The Cheerleaders will be selling Crushes
during both lunches starting this Thursday. $1 for a Crush and $1 to add candy to it. They
will be delivered the following Thursday, February 13th at the end of the day.

The Mena Jr. High Basketball teams flew past DeQueen Monday night in the final home games of the season ay Jim Rackley Gymnasium.... The Mena JV Girls won by a score of 18-6. The JV Boys won 18-14, the Junior Ladycats won 33-18 & the Jr. Bearcats beat DeQueen 44-32... GO BEARCATS!!!
