The Holly Harshman Elementary 4th grade quiz bowl team made us proud at the Mena invitational Quiz Bowl tournament on Friday, Jan. 31! Our team was seeded 7th after lunch out of 9 teams. They were upset by Caddo Hills right before lunch. After lunch, the team rallied and played Caddo again. This time they defeated Caddo by fifty-five points. The team went on to play in the semi-finals, losing only by five points. ( it should be noted if they had won, they would have played for first or second place)Instead, our team played for third or fourth place; defeating Greenwood by a narrow margin of five points and taking a third place trophy home. Just shows what we all can do if we don’t give up!
