The Bearcat bats stayed red hot at Hope today.. Mena won the season finale 21-6...The Bearcats finish the season with 6-16 record... GO BEARCATS!!!
The Bearcats opened district tournament play on Monday & tied Hope 4-4 at the end of regulation.. The Bearcats out scored the Bobcats 5-4 in the SO to seal the win... Mena will advance & play DeQueen in the semi-finals on Thursday at Arkadelphia... GO BEARCATS!
The Trader Bills High School Trail State Championship Bass Tournament on Lake Ouachita. Austin Rose and Evan Graves won the State Championship in the Jr Division. Jarret Burger and Trent Head came in 3rd & Austin Johnston and Cason Canon came in 7th place in the Sr Division.
Mrs. Williams' caterpillars have changed into butterflies. A process called metamorphosis, which our students have enjoyed learning about!

Mena track athletes will be leaving for the state meet in Batesville today.. There will be a send off at 2:30pm that will begin at the field house, continue around the bus loop & out the middle school exit on Morrow St... This will give Mena High, Holly Harshman & Mena Middle students a chance to participate... The public is welcome to gather at the Bearcat Stadium parking lot & show your support...
The food drive for the Arvest Million Meals Campaign ends tomorrow. Please bring canned food items to your enrichment teacher. The class with the most donations will earn a pizza party.
FFA Members who are interested in becoming an FFA Officer for next year can pick up applications from Mr. Collins on Wednesday May 1.
The FFA Banquet will be May 6 Monday at 7 at the Ouachita Center at UofA Rich Mountain. All FFA Members with speaking parts need to be there by 6:15 pm.
The FFA Banquet work day will be Sunday at 2 pm at the AG building. For All FFA members who have speaking parts at the banquet.

If you are a senior interested in delivering the speech at graduation, please come by Ms. Kropp’s room for info. The typed manuscript is due by Friday, May 3rd.
The Lip Sync Competition Dress Rehearsal is tomorrow, Tuesday at 6:30 pm. Everyone should be there in intended costumes, including the talent acts.
Don't forget to bring $2 on Thursday to give to your 5th period teacher so that you can attend the Eighth Annual Lip Sync Competition. You won't want to miss it!

We will have the annual free physicals on Tuesday, May 14. All coaches will hand out the physical forms. Ladycats will be at 5:30 PM in the UBC and Bearcats will follow. This is the only opportunity to provide free physicals.

What a night at the Mena High School Performing Arts Center.. The Bearcat Chorus & the Spotlight Singers had a great performance... Awards were given & Seniors recognized... Be looking for video soon..
The Mena Baseball Team broke out the bats Friday afternoon at Union Bank Park.. Unfortunately Arkadelphia brought theirs to the park as well.. The Bearcats lost 22-12... Mena has one more game to play at Hope on Monday @ 4:30pm...
The Ladycats saved there biggest run output of the season for the finale at Union Bank Park Friday afternoon... Mena defeated Arkadelphia 15-0 & finish the season with a record of 5=15.. 4-8 in conference play..
