What a night at the Mena High School Performing Arts Center.. The Bearcat Chorus & the Spotlight Singers had a great performance... Awards were given & Seniors recognized... Be looking for video soon..


The Mena Baseball Team broke out the bats Friday afternoon at Union Bank Park.. Unfortunately Arkadelphia brought theirs to the park as well.. The Bearcats lost 22-12... Mena has one more game to play at Hope on Monday @ 4:30pm...


The Ladycats saved there biggest run output of the season for the finale at Union Bank Park Friday afternoon... Mena defeated Arkadelphia 15-0 & finish the season with a record of 5=15.. 4-8 in conference play..

Any parent of our current 10th graders who wants their child's BMI (Body Mass Index) results, please contact Nurse Bobbi Baker at the high school and she will get you a copy. She is unable to send the information home with students, but upon parental request, she can mail/fax/e-mail parents a copy. Reminders:
Today is the deadline to turn in all Talent Show forms to Mrs. Lunsford.
Next Tuesday is the deadline for applications for Spotlight Singer Auditions to be turned in to Ms. Taylor.
Yearbooks will be arriving next week. They are sending 25 extra copies that are for sale. If you would like to purchase one of these, there are ordering forms in the office. The yearbooks are $33 each.
Upcoming Events:
Today: Softball & Baseball will be hosting Arkadelphia at 4:30 and the MHS Senior High Choir and Spotlight Singers will have their Spring Concert at the MHS PAC at 7:00.
Monday: The Mena boys’ Soccer Team will host the Hope Bobcats at 4:30 for the 1st round of the District Tournament.

Eight seniors played their final concert at Mena High School on Thursday night.. As a group this years seniors have received the sweepstakes award every year of high school... An accomplishment that hasn't happened in Mena for over two decades... GO BEARCATS!

MHS Announcements April 26th, 2019
Baseball and softball will have games here today against Arkadelphia.
Seniors need to meet at 10:15 in the PAC Monday.
The civic test will be re-scheduled for Monday.
If you are a senior interested in delivering the speech at graduation, please come by Ms. Kropp’s room for info. The typed manuscript is due by next Friday, May 3rd.
Students if you are going to do an act in the Lip Sync this year, applications and money are due by this tomorrow.
The food drive for the Arvest Million Meals Campaign ends next Tuesday, April 30. Please bring canned food items to your enrichment teacher. The class with the most donations will earn a pizza party.
We will have the annual free physicals on Tuesday, May 14. All coaches will hand out the physical forms. Ladycats will be at 5:30 PM in the UBC and Bearcats will follow. This is the only opportunity to provide free physicals.
Seniors, several students have not accepted their Arkansas Challenge scholarships. Check and see if you are pending acceptance.
Seniors remember that all fines and lunch balances need to be paid by May 10th.
FBLA officer applications for the 2019-2020 school year are now available in Mrs. Lindsey's and Mrs. Torix's rooms for any FBLA member who would like to be an officer next year. They are due tomorrow.
Students since it is turkey season make sure you do not bring any rifles to school in your vehicle. If a gun is found in your vehicle, it is required by law to look and it is a 365 day expulsion.
All cap and gowns that have been ordered and not paid for are in the office. Herf Jones is accepting cash only or you can pay on-line.
Mr. Breedlove will be taking orders for Senior Bricks. The cost is $20 per brick or $10 to share a brick with another person. Bricks must be paid for in advance.
Students you must scan your ID cards at lunch. Do not get extras unless you have money in your account.
