Mena Head Coach Craig Bentley released the 2024 football schedule on Thursday. The season begins on Friday, August 30th at DeQueen. The first home game is September 6th against LR Hall. Homecoming will be October 18th and senior night will be October 25th.


Several 9th grade students signed up to Ring the Bell for Salvation Army over the last two weeks to work toward their required 75 hours of Community Service to graduate mandated by the new Arkansas LEARNS Act.

The Sr. girls and boys are back in action on Tuesday at 4:30pm when they host Morrilton at the UBC.

Kadyn Land placed forth in the eSports NBA 2K Play-Offs at Hendrix College in Conway. With this being his first season and a freshman playing for the Mena eSports team, we look forward to seeing what will in store in the coming competitions.

On Friday, the Mena High School FBLA and FCCLA had their annual Christmas Party! The theme was Christmas Morning so students celebrated with breakfast food and in their Christmas Morning clothes! They also collected diapers to donate to our local DHS office!


The Mena High School Student Council sponsored an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest on Thursday. The winner was

Members of the MHS National English Honor Society made a surprise visit with Santa Clause at Louise Durham Elementary on Wednesday to pass out Santa Letters to 2nd grade.


Tiny Cambell, Teresa Judkins, and Sharon Shook recently taught Mrs. Wilson's class at Mena High School how to use a quilting machine for their community service learning project. Thanks to their expertise and assistance, students have acquired the skills to craft quilts throughout the semester. These meticulously crafted quilts will be generously donated to Arkansas Children's Hospital.

The Mena Bearcats and Ladycats competed in the Ram Rumble tournament this weekend.
Emery Anderson took 1st place in her weight class.
Zach Cline took 2nd place in his weight class!
Ainsley Mchadden took 3rd place in hers!


The JR Ladycat Basketball team had a great time shopping and wrapping presents for Angel Tree kids Friday night. It was a wonderful team bonding experience.


The Spotlight Singers had a wonderful time singing at Sounds of the Season at the state Capitol. It’s always one of our favorite trips of the year!


Mena High School AE students took Christmas cards to the Homewood Cottages residents today for a service project.

Mena Boys won their meet last night vs Fort Smith Southside 43-24, sadly the girls lost. Bright future ahead for both teams. Come out Thursday at 6:00pm for our first home meet in Mena history!
